Can Mecanto Stream Native FLAC files?
Hi Mecanto Team. Does Mecanto support native streaming playback of FLAC files? Or does it have to "transcode" down to MP3 (like Subsonic does)? Also, does Mecanto support playback of high definition FLAC files (24-bit, 96KHz sample rates, for instance)?

Update: I'm happy to update that MeCanto now supports high sample rates such as 96KHz FLAC files.

Unfortunately we don't support native streaming playback of FLAC files yet. But we want to implement this in the future.

Unfortunately Mecanto doesn't support playback of high definition FLAC files (24-bit, 96KHz ). We had putted it in MeCanto's feature request and will implement it in the near future. -

Team, can you tell me if the Mecanto Android app will allow streaming of 24-bit, 96KHz FLAC files over WiFi or 4G?

MeCanto enables streaming of these file over wifi or 3g but the stream will be a transcoded stream at a lower quality.
