How to I tell the PC Client application to re-scan all my music folders and send a complete listing of all my tracks to my account?
For example after deleting a machine or some tracks from the web interface.

In general you should never need to re-sync your PC Client with your account. The PC Client application keeps your folders in sync with the folder view in your account.
There are however rare cases were you might want to do this. Following are some of these cases:
- You deleted a computer from your account (using the "more actions"->"delete" on a computer in the folders view). This will remove the computer from your folders view, which is useful in case you no longer own that computer or something like that. But if you now run the PC Client on that computer it won't sync your folders to your account anymore.
- You deleted a bunch of tracks from your account. Now the PC Client won't send these tracks back to your account because you decided you don't want them anymore. If you change your mind and want the PC Client to send these tracks again to your account, you'll need to do a re-sync.
- If for some other reason you don't see tracks or folders you expect to see, or have seen in the past in your folders view then a re-sync might solve this problem.
Ok, so how do you do a re-sync?
There are two ways, non of which are really simple:
- Option 1: Deleting the store file: Exit the PC Client application (MeCanto->Exit MeCanto). In "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\mecanto" or in "c:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\mecanto you'll find with a name similar to mymail@something.com.store, delete this file. Start the PC Client application - it will now re-scan all your folders and update your account
- Option 2: Removing all folder and adding them again: While the PC Client application is running and logged in, go to MeCanto->My Music. Remove all the folders from the folder list and click OK. The PC Client application will now start removing tracks from your folder view (don't worry you won't have to re-upload stuff that's already in your account). Go to your MeCanto web account and watch how all the folders start disappearing from the under your computer in the folders view. Refresh the browser periodically until you see there are no more folders inside your computer. Once there are no more folders under your computer in the folders view, go back to the PC Client application. Click MeCanto->My Music, and re-add the folders where your music is. The PC Client application will now re-scan all your folders and update your account.
Hopefully these procedures will help you. Again, in 99% of the cases you don't need to do this, but since none of these operations are destructive we feel its best to provide you with the information about how to do a re-sync.
Good luck and let us know if you have any questions about this.

Thank you for your answer,
But none of these methods does the thing that I want to do.
I want to completely reset the user, I mean, like I just signed up, 0 files, 0 folders, 0 computers.
the thing is that I have formated my computer, and change my library a lot since the format.
I have deleted, as you said, all the computers from my account.
In my PC client, I didn't choose any folder to sync, so meantime its empty.
I just want do delete all the files at meCanto server, and start uploading my new library.
as I said, using the delete function is really not practical even if it would work (and its not), since I have about 250 pages to go throw.
If as a user I cant do so (and i really don't understand why),
can you do it from the server itself? just delete the files?
it suppose to take a few seconds if you have access to the server, and about a year to do so (unless there is something i missed).
Could you help me with that?
Thanks, -
