Indexed songs (18000) disappear and are unavailable.

I downloaded app and it originally showed 18,000 indexed songs. None were playable from that home computer. All indexed music was on an external drive. I accessed web site from my laptop and all songs seem to be listed although none are available to be played. What am I missing? I would love for this to work with my large music library. Please advise..
