Yes. The MeCanto software only communicates with the MeCanto servers so it will not allow anyone else to access your files. The software will only access the files you tell it to and will not send any personal information to anyone. The only information it sends is the content of your music files which are transferred to your personal account on the MeCanto servers. The software will not install spyware or annoying pop ups of any sort.
