A beta PC Client for Mac OS X is now available at http://mecanto.com/download

We're looking for your feedback on this beta version so please report any problems you encounter with it in the support forums.

A Linux version is still in the works. We'll update you once it becomes available.

In addition Mac/Linux users can upload their music using the manual upload feature available in your account.
We've heard that MeCanto runs nicely on Wine. If you're adventurous, you can give it a try.

  I am currently running on Linux Mint 9 (Ubuntu based, Ubuntu version 10.04) through Wine and it works just fine, have uploaded 3000+ tracks.
  It should be said that it does crash on occasions but usually works without problems.

Yes, the news will come soon with a beta version for Mac and Linux.
We are still testing this and soon you will be able to test it too.

uname -a
and paste the output here.

The problem might be because you have a 32 bit version of OS X (as opposed to a 64 bit version). We'll look into this, and if needed we'll release an updated version. Stay tuned to our twitter or facebook page for updates.

I downloaded the windows executable, installed, and ran it with no problems. I am still going to work on the API in ruby so there can be a command line version, but here is my screen shot on Backtrack Linux 5R1 running Kernel 2.6.39.4 #1 SMP. This is an Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS variant.
